This is a plain-language summary of our current data practices during the Edgemoss pilot, written by the operator rather than by a lawyer. It sits alongside the terms of service, which cover data use in more detail and control where the two differ. If anything here matters to your decision to upload, ask us first: hello@edgemoss.com.
We don't run third-party analytics or advertising trackers on this site. The label above is our own, it is recorded once at signup or when you send a request, and nothing on this site follows you between visits.
Reconstruction jobs run on GPU servers we operate on Amazon Web Services (EC2), on encrypted storage, in the same AWS account that serves this site. Your data is transmitted over encrypted connections (SSH) and the server is stopped when the job finishes. Some earlier jobs ran on GPU servers rented from third-party marketplaces (Vast.ai); new jobs no longer do.
Honest caveat: cloud hardware is still hardware we don't physically control, and for historical Vast.ai jobs we couldn't audit independent hosts' storage. Don't upload content whose exposure would seriously harm you (sensitive documents visible in a scene, security-relevant interior layouts, confidential prototypes) unless you accept that risk.
We ask first. The upload form on the Convert page has a checkbox, unchecked by default, that lets us use that upload and its derived data to improve the reconstruction models behind the service and to benchmark quality. Leave it alone and we don't. Your answer is recorded against the job before it is processed, and a scene derived from yours by retraining, refining or saving an edit carries the same answer.
Running your job is separate. We still look at your content and at renderings of your scenes to deliver a result and to fix a failure you report, because there is no other way to do those two things.
You can change the answer after an upload. Your footage page lists every scene you own with the answer it recorded and a control that changes it. Uploads made before this notice changed were recorded as consented, under the previous version of it; that page is where you turn those off. "Download your data" on your account page says what each of your scenes recorded.
We do not sell your content, and we don't use it for advertising.
Scenes are unlisted by default. If you publish a scene, it appears in the public Explore feed. You can also create an unlisted share or embed link for a private scene; anyone holding that link can view it. Note that during the pilot, result files are served from predictable URLs. Treat a scene link like a share link, not a secret.
Payments. Stripe processes every payment on this site and receives what it needs to do that, including your email address. Credit packs are charged by Edgemoss. A scene bought on the market is charged by the person selling it, on their own Stripe account, so that sale and the email address you bought it with are visible to them as the merchant, and their business name is what appears on your receipt and your card statement. We never see or store your card details either way.
Real-world captures can pick up more than you intend (faces, license plates, screens, private interiors), and a 3D reconstruction makes those viewable from many angles. Only upload content you have the right to record, get consent from identifiable people where required, and prefer capturing without bystanders or blurring identifying details first.
Uploaded footage is deleted after 90 days. The video you upload, and the frames taken from it, are kept for 90 days so you can re-run a reconstruction and we can debug a failure you report, and are then deleted — from our disks and from the storage archive they may have been moved to. The finished scene is not touched: it stays until you delete it. Anything uploaded before 12 September 2026 is counted from that date rather than from its upload, and a scene you have allowed us to train on is kept while that answer stands. Your footage page shows every scene you own and the day its footage goes.
You can delete any scene yourself from Your scenes (this removes its files and job records, footage included; a copy held in our storage archive is removed by the next cleanup pass).
Deleting your account. Signed in, open your account page, choose Delete your account and re-enter your password. This removes every scene you own (with the same settlement a scene deletion gets: a failed job's credits are refunded first), your monitoring sites and their stakeholder links, your white-label badge, logo and tour links, and every sign-in session and emailed link. It refuses while one of your jobs is still running, and while a white-label subscription would still renew; cancel that from Manage billing first. Your email address and password are then removed from the account record, which can never be signed into again.
What stays. Credit purchases, the credit ledger, marketplace sales and purchases, subscription records and capture-deposit payments are financial records. They are kept under the deleted account's number, with no email address or password attached, because a refund or a card dispute can arrive months later and has to find the payment it belongs to. A seller's Stripe account link stays for the same reason. Capture booking requests are keyed to the email address typed into the booking form rather than to an account: email hello@edgemoss.com from that address to have them removed, and for anything else this page does not cover.
A copy of your data. Signed in, open your account page and choose Download your data to get one JSON file with everything tied to your account: account details, every scene with its settings and files, credit and purchase records, marketplace activity, white-label and monitoring-site records, and capture booking requests made with a verified email address. Passwords and any token that acts as you are never in it. Scene files download from each scene's page.
