Edgemoss is an early-stage pilot run by one person. These terms were written by the operator and have not been reviewed by a lawyer. They will change as the service grows, and we will say so on this page when they do. If something here matters to your decision to upload, buy, or sell, ask before you do it: hello@edgemoss.com.
Edgemoss is operated by Aiden Tubergen, an individual doing business as Edgemoss. There is no company behind it yet. In these terms, "Edgemoss", "we" and "us" mean that person, and "you" means the person or organization using the service.
Edgemoss operates from North Carolina, United States. Notices to us, including formal legal notice, should go to hello@edgemoss.com, and we will provide a postal address on request. If we later move the service into a company, we will assign these terms to it and update this section.
By creating an account, uploading content, generating a scene, buying an export pack, or listing a scene, you agree to these terms, to the privacy notice, to the scene license, and to the refund policy. Those pages are part of this agreement. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
If you are agreeing on behalf of an organization, you are confirming you have the authority to bind it.
You must be at least 13 to use the service. To list a scene for sale or receive a payout you must be at least 18 and legally able to enter a contract, because selling involves payment obligations a minor generally cannot be held to.
You may not use the service if you are barred from doing so under the sanctions or export laws that apply to you, or if we have previously terminated your account.
You are responsible for what happens under your account, including keeping your password to yourself. Tell us promptly at hello@edgemoss.com if you think someone else has access.
One person, one account, and accurate details please. You can ask us to close your account at any time by emailing us. Some records tied to completed sales are kept as described in section 9.
Edgemoss turns photos, video, and text prompts into 3D Gaussian splat scenes, and hosts them so they can be viewed, shared, embedded, and in some cases sold.
Reconstruction is not guaranteed to work. Results depend heavily on the footage you provide: lighting, motion blur, coverage, reflective or transparent surfaces, and scene scale all affect whether a usable scene comes out, and some captures simply fail. We do not promise any particular quality, resolution, accuracy, or dimensional correctness, and you should not rely on a scene as a measurement of the real world without checking it yourself.
This is a pilot. Features can change or be withdrawn, and the service can be unavailable at times. We will try to give notice of significant changes, but we do not guarantee it.
Your content means the photos, videos, images, and text prompts you submit. Derived data means what processing produces from them, including extracted frames, estimated camera poses and geometry, trained splat files, meshes, rendered views, flythrough videos, quality metrics, and processing logs. Output means the finished scene delivered to you.
You keep every right you already hold in your content. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, process, transform, and display your content and derived data as far as we need to in order to run the service for you, including sending it to the infrastructure described in section 8. That licence lasts as long as we hold the data under section 9.
Subject to section 7, we do not sell your content, and we do not use it for advertising. We do not claim ownership of your outputs.
You are responsible for making sure you have the rights to everything you upload. Section 10 covers what that means for captures containing other people.
This is opt in. We do not use your content or derived data to improve and develop the reconstruction models behind the service, or as part of a quality benchmark we keep, unless you ask us to. The upload form on the Convert page carries a checkbox for it, unchecked by default, and your answer is recorded against that upload before it is processed. An upload made through the API without that field is recorded as a no. A scene derived from one of yours, by retraining, refining or saving an edit, carries the same answer the scene it came from carries.
What this checkbox does not cover. Running your job is not this. To deliver a result and to fix a failure you report, people working on Edgemoss may look at your content and at renderings of your scenes whether or not you said yes, because there is no other way to do those things. What saying no means is that your content stays out of model training and out of any benchmark set we keep, and is not looked at for any purpose other than running your jobs and supporting you.
Changing your mind. The checkbox sets the answer for one upload at the moment you make it, and you can change it afterwards. Your footage page lists every scene you own with the answer it recorded and a control that changes it, one scene at a time. A scene already derived from one of yours keeps its own recorded answer and is changed on its own row; changing a source does not reach back into work already made from it.
Uploads made before this clause changed. The previous version said we may use your content unless you opt out, and uploads made under it were recorded as consented. The footage page is where you turn those off, and "Download your data" on your account page lists every scene we hold and what each one recorded, so you can see which are which rather than take our word for it.
Nothing about this choice affects your results, your pricing, or how quickly your job runs.
What saying no cannot do. It takes effect for future work. It does not retrain or unwind a model that has already been trained, and we are not going to pretend otherwise.
We treat your content as confidential either way, and will not publish it or show it outside Edgemoss and our infrastructure providers without asking you first. Publishing a scene yourself, or listing it on the market, is a separate decision that you make.
Reconstruction runs on GPU servers we operate on Amazon Web Services in the United States, on encrypted storage, in the same AWS account that serves this site. Data moves between our machines over encrypted connections and the GPU server is stopped when a job finishes.
Some jobs from earlier in the pilot ran on GPU servers rented from a third-party marketplace, Vast.ai, whose machines are owned by independent hosts. New jobs do not. For those historical jobs we could not audit an independent host's storage, and we are not going to claim we could.
An honest caveat that applies either way. Cloud hardware is still hardware we do not physically control. Do not upload content whose exposure would seriously harm you, such as sensitive documents visible in a scene, security-relevant interior layouts, or confidential prototypes, unless you accept that risk.
Uploaded footage is deleted after 90 days. The video you upload, and the frames taken from it, are kept for 90 days so that you can re-run a reconstruction and we can debug a failure you report. They are then deleted, from our disks and from the storage archive they may have been moved to.
The finished scene is not on that clock. A scene you have had built is yours and stays until you delete it. What the 90 days removes is the source footage, not the reconstruction, the exports or anything you have bought. The practical consequence is that re-running a reconstruction from the original footage stops being possible on that date, so keep your own copy of anything you may want rebuilt.
Two things hold that clock. Anything uploaded before 12 September 2026 is counted from that date rather than from its upload, so no footage already on our disks goes without a full 90 days' notice. And a scene you have allowed us to use for training is kept while that answer stands; turning it off puts the scene back on the clock. Your footage page shows every scene you own and the day its footage goes.
You can delete any scene yourself from Your scenes, which removes its files and job records, including its footage, straight away. Closing your account is on your account page. For anything else, email hello@edgemoss.com.
Two things survive deletion, and you should know about both. Nightly backups of account and scene metadata are kept in versioned storage and age out on a rolling basis, so a deleted record can persist in a backup for a period after you delete it. And records of completed sales are kept for as long as tax and accounting rules require.
Reconstruction inputs are real-world photos and video, which routinely capture more than you intended: faces, licence plates, house numbers, screens, documents, private interiors. A 3D reconstruction then makes those viewable from angles the original footage never showed. Treat this as the main risk of using the service.
By uploading, you confirm that:
Strong recommendation: do not submit content containing identifiable people or licence plates at all. Capture without bystanders where you can, or blur identifying detail before uploading.
What we do automatically. We run face and licence-plate detection on jobs. Blurring is a per-job option that is off by default, because most scenes are private and blurring is destructive. When detection finds faces or plates in a scene you have not blurred, we hold it out of the public Explore feed until you either blur it or tell us to publish anyway. Detection is imperfect and can miss things, so it is a safety net, not a guarantee, and the responsibility above stays yours.
We may refuse, stop processing, or remove content we reasonably believe breaks this section.
Do not use Edgemoss to break the law, to harass or harm people, to infringe intellectual property, to try to break or overload the service, to scrape it in bulk, or to resell access to it.
The generative parts of the service are built on third-party models whose licences require us to pass their restrictions on to you. This applies to Stable Diffusion XL and related models under the CreativeML Open RAIL++-M licence, and to Meta's DINOv3 under its licence and acceptable use policy. You agree not to use the service's generative features:
These are summaries. The model licences themselves control where this summary and they differ, and the same restrictions travel with any scene you download. The scene license covers what that means for buyers.
Viewing a published scene in the browser is free. Some scenes carry a price, and paying it unlocks the export pack for that scene: the .ply, .glb and .sog files, meshes, and the flythrough video, together with the commercial terms of the scene license.
Prices are in US dollars. Payment is handled by Stripe; we do not see or store your card details. Your access is granted when Stripe confirms the payment to us, not when your browser returns from checkout.
You are buying a licence to use the scene, not ownership of it, and not exclusivity. The same scene can be sold to other people. What you may and may not do with it is set out in the scene license.
Scenes are made by other users. We host and list them, and we do not independently verify that a seller holds the rights they claim. If something you bought turns out to infringe or to be materially not as described, tell us and we will refund it. Section 14 and the refund policy cover how.
Listing is optional. Listing for free costs you nothing. To charge for a scene you need a connected Stripe account with charges and payouts enabled, and you must be 18 or over. That account is yours: you open it under your own agreement with Stripe, and you sign in to it with your own credentials.
Prices run from $15 to $500, and you set them. Buyers pay your Stripe account directly, so on your own sales you are the merchant, not us. Edgemoss takes a 15% platform fee, or $0.60 if that is greater, as a Stripe application fee, and the rest is yours. Stripe's processing costs come out of your side of the sale, because the charge is made on your account. Payouts, their timing, and any tax reporting on them are handled by Stripe under your agreement with them. You are responsible for your own taxes. Being the merchant also means you see the buyer as a customer of yours, including the email address they paid with, and your business name is what appears on their receipt and their card statement. Use that contact detail to fulfil and support the sale, and for nothing else.
Refunds on your sales are yours to issue, from your Stripe dashboard, and you agree to honour the refund policy we publish to buyers. A full refund ends that buyer's access to the export pack. If a buyer disputes a charge and it is decided against the sale, the amount and Stripe's dispute fee come out of your Stripe balance, and their access ends then. We do not hold your money at any point, so there is nothing for us to reverse: what protects a buyer here is your Stripe account, which is also why we ask you to keep it in good standing.
We can remove or delist a scene if we receive a credible complaint, if it appears to break these terms, or if it puts us at legal risk. Where we can, we will tell you why. You can unlist your own scene at any time, but unlisting stops new downloads only. It cannot recall copies people already downloaded under the licence you granted them.
Our refund policy is a full part of these terms and lives at edgemoss.com/refunds. In short: 14 days, no questions asked.
If something is wrong with a purchase, please email us before contacting your bank. A refund is quick, it costs you nothing, and it is much cheaper for us than a chargeback, which is why we would rather just refund you.
Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under consumer law that cannot be waived, including your right to goods and services that match how they were described.
If you believe something on Edgemoss infringes your copyright, email hello@edgemoss.com with: your contact details, an identification of the work you say is infringed, the URL of the scene, a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised, a statement that the information is accurate and that you are the rights holder or authorised to act for them, and your signature.
We will remove or disable access to material we reasonably believe is infringing. If your scene is removed and you think that was wrong, you can send a counter-notice to the same address with your contact details, an identification of what was removed, and a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe it was removed by mistake. We may restore the material after a waiting period unless the complainant tells us they have filed suit.
We terminate the accounts of repeat infringers.
Running Edgemoss means your data touches services we do not own: Amazon Web Services for hosting and processing, Stripe for payments and payouts, Resend for the emails we send you, and an email forwarding provider for the mail you send us. Pages on this site also load fonts from Google Fonts and some code from the jsDelivr CDN, which means those providers receive your IP address when you visit. None of them are analytics or advertising trackers, and we do not run any.
Your use of Stripe is also governed by Stripe's own terms.
You can stop using Edgemoss whenever you like, and ask us to close your account by email.
We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, that creates legal risk for us, or that we are required to act on. Where it is reasonable to do so we will warn you first and give you a chance to export your scenes. If we close your account without cause, we will refund any unused paid balance.
Sections 6, 9, 13, 15, and 18 through 21 survive the end of this agreement.
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, that any scene will meet your requirements or be geometrically accurate, or that data will never be lost. Some jurisdictions do not allow these exclusions, in which case they apply to you only as far as the law permits.
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, or business interruption, even if we were told such damages were possible.
Our total liability for all claims relating to the service is capped at the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose, or one hundred US dollars ($100).
These limits do not apply to liability that cannot be excluded by law, including for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence. Some jurisdictions do not allow some of these limits, in which case they apply only as far as the law permits.
You agree to defend and indemnify us against claims, damages, and reasonable legal costs arising from content you uploaded or sold, from your breach of these terms, or from your breach of someone else's rights. We will tell you promptly about any such claim and let you control the defence, provided you do not settle in a way that admits fault on our behalf or imposes obligations on us without our agreement.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in North Carolina, and we each consent to that jurisdiction.
If you are a consumer outside the United States, this does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory consumer-law rules in the country where you live, or of your right to bring proceedings there.
Before filing anything, please email us. Most problems are faster to fix directly, and we would rather fix them.
If any part of these terms is held unenforceable, the rest stays in force. Our not enforcing a term on one occasion does not waive it.
We may update these terms. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page, and for changes that materially affect your rights we will give notice by email or in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms. If you do not, stop using the service and ask us to close your account.
Questions about any of this go to hello@edgemoss.com.
